Another Style Tip

Dress pants are an essential part of a man's wardrobe. They are much more formal than the finest jeans and look a lot better than khakis. You can get them in many styles, but the two main options are the pleat and the cuff.

The pleat is the folded fabric found just below the waistband of many dress pants. There are usually one or two pleats on men's dress pants. I'm not a big fan, I prefer the flat front look. But there's something to be said for pleated pants, especially if you are a larger fellow, as pleats provide some more breathing room.

The cuff is the extra layer of fabric on the bottom of each leg of the pants. The bottom of the leg is folded up and stiched into place after the pants are hemmed, which provides extra weight to the legs. You need cuffs if you have pleats, it's pretty critical, as the weight holds them in place. However, they are optional with flat front pants, and I go without them, as I'm not very tall. Cuffs tend to make guys look shorter.

And don't go to the Wearhouse, it's a scam. Get them at the outlets.
