For those of you who have the ability to fix the crunks, clinks, clanks, and thumps your car makes without panicking and forking over 5x's what the problem calls for, I commend you. I have always wished I was a handyman. I can do the basics, I can change my own oil and replace window washer fluid but thats about the extent of my auto body knowledge.
Is it my fault? Partly. I would say it is more the public school systems of MA's fault for not providing an auto body course. I took a "home education" course in high school that taught me how to cook chocolate texas sheet cake and sew buttons back on a shirt, in other words very pointless shit. Perhaps if I didn't have to suffer through civics and chemisty classes that I realized after the first class I didnt give a crap about I could have learned some valuable information.
When I hear the clanks and thumps I turn my radio up, problem solved. Perhaps someday someone will be able to shed some light into my head that's filled with mostly useless information but until that day I will continue to be laughed at in auto body shops for knowing dick about cars.
