Alaska is enormous. It's unfortunate that the maps we usually see have it separated off of the lower 48, at a different scale, because we can't appreciate how magestic the Land of the Midnight Sun really is.

Do you know how big Alaska is?
After much discussion with SDR about how big Alaska is, I dug this out:
Alaska is enormous. It's unfortunate that the maps we usually see have it separated off of the lower 48, at a different scale, because we can't appreciate how magestic the Land of the Midnight Sun really is.
