Weird Baseball Trade

Harry Chiti, a catcher for the Cleveland Indians, was traded to the expansion New York Mets on April 25, 1962. This was for a "player to be named later," which is common in baseball. What is uncommon, however, is that the player to be named later was Chiti himself! He was sent back to the Indians in June of 1962 after appearing in 15 games for the Mets. Historians think he is the only professional sports player to ever be traded for himself.
