Ranking The Office Characters (Part 2/2)
This is the crème de la crème:
10. Stanley – awesome role, I love when he defends his daughter, his dry humor is perfect, and his "Pretzel Day" acting was wicked funny. A great character for the "token black guy." I had him higher before finishing season 3, but other characters stepped up big time, so I had to drop him down.
9. Angela – some people probably hate her, but I beg to differ. She’s really funny in a quirky way, and does not have a filter on anything that comes out of her mouth. She’s pretty hot too sometimes, even when wearing her cat sweaters. The relationship between her and Dwight is really good. I had her higher before I finished season 3, but other characters stepped up big time, so, like Stanley, I had to drop her down.
8. Ryan – he’s perfect in his role and very believable as the intern/business school type. I don’t get why he dealt Kelly’s crap. When he dumped her, it was perfect. I can’t wait to see how Michael deals with Ryan being his boss. I’m giggling just thinking about it... no homo.
7. Andy – he was top 5 before he went to anger management, then I had to drop him down a bit. The Big Tuna blasts and Cornot University line were hilarious. Hopefully his old ways come back soon.
6. Pam – I know it’s blasphemy putting her this low, because she’s hot as hell, and a main character, but she’s kind of a loser. In my eyes, she’s never really carried a scene or an episode. However, she really stepped up in the final episodes of season 3, but it wasn’t enough to put her in the top 5.
5. Kevin – one of the most underrated characters. He was real weird early on, then I think the writers turned him into “one of the guys” (as opposed to being like Creed). The casino night scenes of him playing poker are real memorable, and him and Jim have a good rapport going. Anal fissures.
4. Dwight – Perfect character. The scene where he imitates Jim put him to a new level. I mean, he is a weird dude and all, but in a harmless sort of way. He’s got the best interests of the company at heart, and does anything Michael asks him to do. Awesome guy.
3. Toby – my favorite character until he started sucking up to Pam. I love when he shoots down Michael’s inane ideas or when Michael flips out on him. It’s hilarious when Jan asks him what’s going on at the office because she can’t trust Michael. He should be higher, but the strength of the next two drops him to third.
2. Jim – I’d call him #1A instead of #2. His pranks on Dwight are incredible, and he pulls all the broads. He’s a really cool guy and has never really deviated from that. Only the strength of Michael keeps Jim out of the top spot; this is not a knock on Jim at all.
1. Michael – C’mon, he’s unbelievable. I’m sure he’s #1 on most people’s lists, and definitely top 3 on all of them. One of the best TV characters of all time, hands down. He always somehow comes out on top, no matter what the odds. I loved the job interview and the beach scenes.

ReplyDeleteHolly: Can anyone think of things that are over-the-line time wasters?
Stanley: This meeting.
Andy: Heyo!
Michael Scott: Can't set 'em up like that.
this article has an asterisk next to it since it is only through season 3
