Verizon Sucks

A 79-year-old Vienna man who was fed up with his Verizon service died after trying to stop a technician's van from pulling out of his driveway.

The man, identified by neighbors as William Cornelius, fell after grabbing the steering wheel of the van late Wednesday afternoon and died hours later at a hospital, police said.

It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. Verizon SUCKS in the nation's capitol. We pay $50/month for "High Speed DSL," which is like "jumbo shrimp" or "smart bomb" or "internet privacy" in terms of absurd oxymorons. I'm sure The Kid will attest to this... we lose Internet at least 3 times a week, so we can't really stream Netflix or play CoD4 online. Verizon sent us a new router, and that didn't do squat. Calling their 1-800 number is a waste of time too, you need a map to weave your way through the automated menu in order to reach a human. So I'm not surprised that someone finally snapped. Hopefully Cornelius' family takes Verizon for a couple mil. Going back to Time Warner in the fall is going to be a breath of fresh air.
