Baseball is more American then America (wait what?). And here in the Nations Capital you will find the most pathetic sports franchise in America, the Washington Nationals. These guys aren't just bad, they are really hard to watch, proof of this can be found in the 30,000 empty seats every time they play someone not named Red Sox or Yankees. These guys don't need a bailout, they need a miracle. And like a ray of light from the baseball God's themselves a miracle has arrived in the name of Stephen Strasburg from San Diego State.
This kid is a phenom, the type that could carry a franchise on his back. Since the Nationals had the worst record in baseball in 2008 they of course drafted him first in Tuesdays MLB draft. All seems well in the Nations Capital except there is one problem, Scott F'n Boras is placing a 50 million dollar price tag on him, one the Nationals can't even come close to affording. On a happier not the Founding Fathers foot races can still be seen between the 4th and 5th innings at Nationals games, making the game worth the price of admission ($5.00.) George Washington wins 90% of the time, he's a presidential rocket. Lincoln struggles, last time he didn't even finish.
