Ligers are real??

I thought a Liger was a fictional species created in the brain of Napoleon Dynomite but Holy Crap it's REAL. Maybe I'm way behind and everyone else already knew about this but I think it's important to discuss. Mating a Lion and a Tiger?? That's like mating Iran and North Korea, we're just asking for trouble with this one. This is a supercat, wasn't there a cartoon about supercat's when I was growing up? 5 Years from now if Ligers are not running this world I will be shocked. We're talking about the King of the Jungle and the Tiger, the most ruthless-stealth cat in the jungle. What happens if the Liger mates with a Cheetah so that we can never catch it. And then that species mates with a house cat so we will always trust it. And then that species mates with a sex predator so we will never go near it. Then we're all screwed. Thanks science, you really F'd us on this one.
