Last night's comeback puts the season series at Red Sox 8, Yankees 0. That's incredible considering the Yankees are killing it versus everyone else. For some reason, the Sox are getting up for these games, and the Bombers aren't showing up.
I know that these games technically mean the same as all the other ones. It's only temporary bragging rights. But say the Sox finish 13-5 or 14-4 versus New York this season. That has to creep into the Yanks' minds in their inevitable ALCS showdown this fall. We've got a huge pitching advantage, and Papi's starting to mash again, so the bats are about the same. Girardi is a liability at manager. I think we own these guys.
