Modern Warfare 2 is going to be the single biggest video game event of 2009. Forget everything you know or you think you know about video games. Infinity Ward's sequel to the wildly-succesfull Call of Duty 4 is arguably the most anticipated video game of all time.
CoD4 has an incredible storyline, although some felt it was too short. The graphics and gameplay are simply unmatched in gaming, especially if one played on a large TV with surround sound. In addition, CoD4's online multiplayer features are virtually unparalleled. Halo is definitely in the same ballpark, but CoD4 presents warfare through today's eyes, whereas Halo may be too futuristic for some gamers. CoD4 can be played again and again and gamers will not get sick of it.
MW2 promises an even greater gamer experience. Some bloggers feel that it will become the highest selling game of all time. Some weapons will change (rumor is that one of my favorites, the Skorpion, will be dropped), and some perks will differ, but the game will absolutely exceed our wildest expectations. I can't wait to check out the rumored-heartbeat sensing attachment for my beloved AK-47.

I fully picking it up at midnight and using a catheter and a feeding tube until I beat single player/do some heavy damage on Live. Basically you may not see me until that Friday.
